Welcome. I’ve been working in telecommunications for years, and I’ve finally decided to put some of what I know in writing.
The telecom world has a lot of knowledge that stays locked in vendor documentation, proprietary tools, and the heads of people who’ve spent years debugging obscure protocol traces. I want to change that — at least a little.
What this blog is about
I work across the signalling stack: SIP for voice and messaging, SS7 and Diameter for mobile core, and the security challenges that come with all of it. These are the areas I’ll write about here.
Expect posts on:

Why write?
Partly because writing forces me to be precise. You can hand-wave through a concept in conversation, but a written explanation exposes the gaps. Every post I publish is a thing I understand better than when I started it.
Partly because the internet helped me learn and I’d like to return the favour. The good telecom resources are scattered, outdated, or paywalled. Hopefully this adds something useful to the pile.
